A small argument for getting lost

The quickest route is not always the most revealing.

Take a different turning on a familiar walk. A street changes its character with the direction of approach: a doorway becomes visible, a tree interrupts the view, a familiar building turns out to have a garden.

Getting lost need not mean going far. Sometimes it means allowing a little uncertainty into the journey home.
